The Great American Newspaper is DEAD! Echo Chamber News Doesn't Sell.
The newsroom meltdown from The Washington Post and Los Angeles Times proves objective journalism died long ago. Long live independent journalists.
The billionaire owners of the Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post each refused to allow the publishing of presidential endorsements of Kamala Harris. Chaos and drama ensued. Tears were shed. Editors and reporters quit their jobs. Rage posts on social media were made. It was a total meltdown.
Journalists became political activists during the Obama Administration. There was a buildup to this in the 1990s and during the Bush Administration. Obama lit the fuse, and the activist journalist bomb went off when Donald Trump won the election in 2016. Journalists have always had some bias, especially in newspapers. Newspapers and journalists no longer attempt to pursue subjective truths.
Reporters assumed a militantly biased role when reporting on the Trump Administration. Ironically, the same level of scrutiny or venom was rarely focused on the Obama Administration. Obama was oppressive towards journalists. Any journalist who wrote stories that went against the Obama narrative risked arrest, intimidation, investigation, or getting fired. But journalists gave Obama a hall pass. Because he was Obama.
Julian Assange was pursued and prosecuted globally for reporting on factual information through Wikileaks. The fact that Assange released details on how the Obama Administration assassinated an American citizen was a no-no. The Obama Administration SPIED on the Associated Press, but this was accepted by newsrooms everywhere. Why?
Award-winning reporter
was spied on by the FBI for critical reporting on the pharma industry. You can hear Attkisson’s story on the fantastic Dad Saves America Substack. (Note: YouTube has censored this video conversation for “medical misinformation.” The best place to see the full conversation is on Substack.) The Biden Administration continued this intimidation during the height of Covid. Any reporter who went against the narrative was persecuted.Renowned reporter Catherine Herridge was persecuted and threatened with prosecution for her reporting on a Chinese scientist investigated by the FBI but never charged. She is threatened with an $ 800-a-day fine until she reveals sources. However, this punishment is on hold pending appeal. She was fired by CBS for being an objective journalist. CBS seized all of her records, and then she was held in contempt of court for not cooperating with the Biden Regime. Herridge proves again there is great risk if reporters seek the truth that goes against the prevailing narrative.
The cases of Herridge and Attkisson prove that the US Intelligence agencies closely monitor journalists. If journalists step out of line, they will face severe consequences. Intelligence agencies don’t care about the First Amendment.
Objective Journalism is Not Allowed. Left-Wing Echo Chamber Journalism is the Norm. Intelligence Agencies are the Enforcement Arm
Corporate media has been dying for years. Jeff Bezos refused to allow his Washington Post to publish the endorsement of Kamala Harris for President. The owner of the Los Angeles Times, Patrick Soon-Shiong, refused to allow the endorsement of Kamala Harris as well.
The newsroom meltdown was entertaining to watch. In fact it was hilarious. But most importantly it showed how journalists no longer want to pursue the truth. They want to interfere in elections. There was no objective reason to endorse Kamala Harris. The main reason each newsroom had a meltdown is because they were desperate to prevent Donald Trump from election. That’s it. Orange Man Bad. Trump Derangement Syndrome. Both publications are notoriously pro-establishment and very liberal. They are biased. They are boring.
The Washington Post and LA Times Implosion
The Washington Post has gone through significant turmoil for several years, but more so in 2024 with the addition of Publisher Will Lewis. Lewis and interim executive editor Matt Murray took the reins this year to help refocus the business to success. There was immediate fallout with the woke editorial staff. Lewis began making changes to structuring content that focused on what thei audience wanted. Sally Buzzbee led the paper since 2021 and she didn’t agree to the new approach. She left because she wanted to continue burning down the paper with Echo Chamber News.
Here is the hard truth that Lewis laid out for the entitled staff as reported by Vanity Fair.
“We are losing large amounts of money. Your audience has halved in recent years. People are not reading your stuff. I can’t sugarcoat it anymore,” Lewis said. “So I’ve had to take decisive, urgent action to set us on a different path, sourcing talent that I have worked with that are the best of the best.”
The Left-Wing Echo Chamber Doesn’t Sell.
The only people buying what the Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, The New York Times and others are those looking for the echo chamber. And there aren’t enough of them to buy the propaganda. Last year the Washington Post reportedly lost over $100 million. Americans aren’t interested in the political views of a newsroom full of woke activist journalists who only care about propaganda. Americans want the TRUTH.
The New Class of Journalists are Taught to Be Woke and Biased
Last spring a journalism professor at Northwestern told the truth. During pro-Hamas protests, Steven Thrasher told protesters that journalists can no longer be objective. His comments were antisemitic and anti-Israel. As a journalism professor he wielded vast power in influencing the new class of journalists. Given his views on Israel and Hamas, it’s obvious how he indoctrinated students. Thrasher could say what he wanted. But there are consequences to free speech and Northwestern suspended him.
Independent Journalists Rule. Long Live Journalism.
The behemoth papers and media news channels are dying. They are failing as businesses because they are ignoring their markets and customers. Americans want the truth. They don’t want to be lectured by angry twentysomething women on how they should think or feel and what they should say. The audience certainly doesn’t care about pronouns or intersectionality. Just tell the story with the facts and let the audience decide. This is why platforms like Substack and independent podcasts are ravenously consumed right now. As of releasing this post, Joe Rogan’s interview with Donald Trump has 27 MILLION views on Spotify and 34 MILLION views on Youtube. Meanwhile, 60 Minutes can’t stop tripping over their dongs on the edits to their interview with Kamala Harris. That tells you everything right there. All Americans want is access to the truth.
I am thoroughly enjoying your posts! Keep ‘em coming! 😉
